Eligibility

The Hello Program allows you to benefit from Products that can be used with a Card. To be eligible for the Hello Program, you must have an Account. There can only be one Account per individual. Access to some optional Hello Program features (e.g., viewing your Card PIN) may require you to download the App on your mobile device.

Participating in the Hello Program

Coupons: Your Coupons are available to be used at specific Merchants point-of-sales.

If you have paid for a Coupon without using your Account (e.g., at an Affiliate Partner’s physical site), if the particular Affiliate Partner associated with the Coupon ceases to conduct business or honor your Coupon, your sole recourse for reimbursement of the amount paid is directly against the Affiliate Partner, or its insolvency representative.

Products:

Gift Cards

Affiliate Partners may offer Products that allow you to pay an amount and receive a Coupon of the same value. If a promotion is available, a bonus amount will be added on top of the paid amount. Each Product is provided with its conditions and restrictions.

When you purchase a Product, you receive a Coupon with a balance that may consist of two portions: the contribution and the bonus. The contribution is the amount you paid; it does not expire but may be subject to inactivity fees. The bonus is the reward amount obtained for purchasing the Product. The bonus expires, and its duration is specified in the Product’s conditions and restrictions.

For online purchases, you will have the option to activate the Coupon in your Account, or to email or download it, allowing you to send the Coupon to another individual who will receive activation instructions. After activation, additional instructions will be provided on how to obtain a Card or reload a Card.

Online purchases of Gift Cards are non-refundable.

Reward Cards

Affiliate Partners may offer Products that allow for distribution of Coupons as gifts or rewards (e.g., through an employee recognition program). If you receive a Coupon, you must activate it following the instructions provided; its conditions and restrictions will be displayed at activation. After activation, you will receive instructions on how to obtain your Card or reload your Card.

Disbursement Programs

Affiliate Partners may offer Products that allow you to receive Coupons periodically (e.g., through a food benefit program). You may need to join such a program by following the enrollment instructions, and enrollment may need to be verified and approved by the Affiliate Partner before you are eligible to receive Coupons. Hello is not responsible for the admissibility criteria. Once your enrollment is confirmed, you will receive instructions on how to obtain your Card to store the received Coupons, in accordance with the terms and conditions communicated at the time of enrollment.

Membership: The Hello Program allows you to opt-in our Affiliate Partners’ programs, to benefit from their Products and receive communications via their Hello Space or their platform. When you buy a Coupon, activate a Coupon, or activate a Card under an Affiliate Partner program, you automatically become a member of the program of this Affiliate Partner.

If you attempt to establish a membership with an Affiliate Partner in a manner that is not provided within these terms and conditions or if your intended use of the Card is not in accordance with the intended use of our products and services, we reserve the right to opt you out of the membership and/or terminate your Account (see Termination of Account section below).

Deleting your Account:  If you decide to delete your Account, please write to us at support@hellocard.ca. A request to delete your Account implicitly implies a waiver on your part of the existing Coupons on your Account and deactivation of any Card linked to your Account. Please consult the Cardholder Agreement to understand what happens to a Card upon deactivation. You may also consult the Privacy Policy, available on the Website, to understand what happens to the data we’ve collected from the use of your Account.
